After a long battle with leukemia, the DKNY model Dylan Rieder has lost the battle. Many will miss the handsome man and one of his good friends – Cara Delevingne – paid tribute to him on social media.
She posted a beautiful photograph of her and Rieder with a caption that read, “One of the kindest, most down to down, incredible human beings I have ever encountered. You will be missed by so many people. Ride and Rest in Peace Dylan Rieder.” The two met during a DKNY campaign back in 2014 and became immediate friends.
Besides Cara posting a heartfelt tribute to Dylan, Ozzy Osbourne went on social media to paid his respects as well.
Rieder was born and raised in Westminster, California, where he mastered the sport of skating at a young age. Then he went on to work as a model, using his good looks and charm.
The masculine name Dylan is taken from the Welsh elements dy meaning “great” and llanw meaning “tide or flow”. Dylan was a hero or God in Welsh mythology and was associated with the sea. The son of Arianrhod, he was accidentally killed by his own uncle Govannon.
