Gifty Louise Agyeman Voted Off The X-Factor

The fourth contestant to get voted off “The X-Factor” is Gifty Louise Agyeman. Even Louis Walsh pleaded with the judges, especially Sharon, to save his group the Four Of Diamonds.

There was a tense showdown on the show as Gifty was in the bottom for the second week straight. However, it was not meant to be as Gifty was sent home.

After the announcement, Gifty appeared to be disheartened while speaking to the host Dermot O’Leary. That’s when her mentor, Simon Cowell, grabbed the mic and stated that it was his fault for choosing the song that got her eliminated.

Gifty took the stage first, in an amazing red jumpsuit, singing a rendition of the Ray Charles hit - “A Song For You”. While her opponents, the Four Of Diamonds, did a haunting rendition of Christina Aguilera’s “The Voice Within”.

When it came time to vote, Simon made a mistake as he sent home his own act – Gifty. However, he quickly realized that he confused the old eviction system and tried to save Gifty. Walsh saved his group and Sharon sided with him – sending Gifty home.

The meaning behind the feminine name Gifty means “A very beautiful tall girl”. The name is commonly used as a girl’s name in Ethiopia.
