Mollywood’s most iconic couple – Kavya Madhavan and Dileep – have finally tied the knot in Kochi. The two had a simple ceremony located at a star hotel with family and friends.
There was a bit of confusion as the sign outside the hall read, “Film Pooja.” However, Kavya’s parents were there to greet all the guests and celebrities that arrived at the hall.
The mother of the bride, Shyamala, was thrilled and revealed to the Kochi Times that her “happiness has no bounds!” Many famous guests came to wish the couple well, from Mammootty to Jayaram, even directors Kamal, Siddique, Nadir Shah, and Jeethu Joseph and many more.
It became very obvious that many of the guests were blindsided by the wedding, as most had only been invited that morning. Many people were talking about the rumors that the couple had already gotten married and this ceremony was for the media and public.
Dileep decided to get married after receiving permission from his daughter Meenakshi. The groom and bride were both dressed in traditional attire for the wedding and looked stunning. When the clock struck 9:50 in the morning the two were married and exchanged the traditional garlands and rings.
The feminine name Kavya is used in India, it is a Sanskrit name that means “poem”. In fact, it refers to the literary style that many poets used in the first half of the 17th century.
