Lucas Till Plays MacGyver

The last time MacGyver hit the screen was back in 1992, with his improvisations using everyday junk to get himself and others out of sticky situations. However, this modern CBS reboot will have MacGyver as more of a “life hacker” than a “Junk Drawer enthusiast”.

Lucas Till is a perfect fit for the role MacGyver, and to his credit, he has the hair to prove it. Till has the swagger, smugness and self-respect to carry a role like MacGyver. He will act alongside a cast that includes a Hacker Lady, Muscle Dude, Funny Roommate and Women that MacGyver may have loved.

Unlike the previous MacGyver shows, this new one will have a lot more in store for the fans, from a larger arsenal of goods to a wisecracking crew. Till will rely on the typical procedural trappings of the original show, but the new show must rely on original ideas and a strong cast to make it work.

The masculine name Lucas is the Latin version of Loukas that means “from Lucania,” which is a place in southern Italy. Lucania was a region that was thought to have been named back in ancient times with a word that meant “shining” or “bright”.

There are many notable people with the name, from Lucas Bryant the actor to Lucas Vita the Brazilian water polo player. Not to mention all the fictional characters with the name, like Lucas who was a male protagonist from the Pokemon Diamond and Pearl games.
