The Florida Quarterback, Luke Del Rio’s knee injury is not season-ending, but the team will have to do without him in the next few games. In the last game against North Texas the Tennessee quarterback suffered a sprained left knee.
Del Rio’s injury will keep him off the field for about two to three weeks, the SEC Country reported. He took a hit in the game that was low, while he was trying to make a pass.
Florida coach, Jim McElwain, is clearly upset about the injury as they play in Tennessee and Vanderbilt this weekend, then return to Florida to play against LSU. However, the game must go on, and there are other guys that can play and the team will move forward.
The masculine name Luke is the English version of the Greek name Loukas that means "from Lucania," which is a region in southern Italy. The name spread throughout the Christian world and has been used widely since the 12th century. Even being given to a famous fictional character from "Star War" movies – Luke Skywalker.
