Naomi Watts has separated with Liev Schreiber

After 11 years, Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber have decided to split up according to a statement released on Monday. In fact, it is the best thing for the entire family right now.

Watts, 47, and Schreiber, 48, believe that this is the best thing for their two boys and they look forward to the new phase in their relationship. They ask for privacy at this difficult time.

The Australian actress Watts has had a good career, even being nominated for a couple of Oscars. She made her start in the Australian drama film called For Love Alone. She then went on to appear in many Australian television series, from Thandie Newton to Hey Dad..!

After moving to the United States, Watts appeared in many films, like Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering, Dangerous Beauty and Tank Girl. She finally broke through in her roles in the thriller Mulholland Drive and The Ring.

While Schreiber was the star of the TV show – Ray Donovan. The two have been together since 2005, but never got married.

Watts and Schreiber are in the upcoming drama – The Bleeder – that was promoted at the Toronto International Film Festival. Schreiber will also be in the Broadway feature – Les Liaisons Dangereuses next month.

Watts used to date the Australian actor Heath Ledger.
