Shah Rukh Khan Celebrates Birthday

Shah Rukh Khan just celebrated his 51st birthday away from the spotlight. The Indian film actor, television personality, and producer had a quiet birthday with his close friends and family.

He choose to leave behind the “hustle and bustle” of Mumbai for the peace and quiet of Alibaug. He took his wife Gauri, son AbRam and daughter Suhana to Alibaug that is just a short distance from Mumbai.

The guest list included many famous personalities, from Karan Johar, Ranbir, Kapoor, Zoya Akhtar, Ayan Mukerji, Imtiaz Ali and Chunkey Pandey. Unlike previous years, Shah Rukh will not be meeting his fans or holding a press conference on his birthday. Instead, it will be a very private affair.

He did not reveal all the details about his birthday plans, but the reports are that he will head to his plush bungalow in Alibaug that was decorated by his wife. The only one not present for the celebrations was his oldest son, Aryan Khan, but he sent birthday wishes through social media.

Even though Khan was given the name Shahrukh Khan at birth, he prefers to go by the name Shah Rukh Khan or the acronym SRK. The masculine name Shahrukh is the Indian and Pakistani version of Shahrokh that means “royal face” in Persian.

There are many notable people with the name, from Shahrukh Husain the Pakistani author or Shahrokh Bayani the Iranian footballer, even Shahrukh an Iranian king. Now the list will include the famous actor and producer - Shahrukh Khan.
