Hong Ren
Origin/Culture/Country: ChineseHong Ren: was from Anhui and a member of the Anhui or Xin'an school of painting. His original name was Jiang Fang. He is noted for painting Mount Huangshan. After the fall of the Ming dynasty he became a monk. This makes him also linked to the "Four monk painters" along with Zhu Da, Shitao, and Kun Can. These were four men who protested the fall of the Ming by becoming monks.
