Bongani Ndodana-Breen: is a South African-born composer, musician and cultural activist. He was born in 1975 in Queenstown, South Africa and is a member of the Xhosa clan. He is often referred to by his Xhosa paternal ancestral name or isiduko, Rhadebe. He was educated at St. Andrew's College and Rhodes University in Grahamstown and studied composition in Stellenbosch under Roelof Temmingh.In 1998 Ndodana-Breen was the first Black classical composer to be awarded the prestigious Standard Bank Young Artist Award for Music, by the National Arts Festival and sponsored by Standard Bank of South Africa.[1

Bongani Mwelase: is a South African boxer who became the 2006 Commonwealth amateur champion at welterweight.The hard-punching southpaw failed to qualify for the 2004 Athens Games by ending up in third place at the 2nd AIBA African 2004 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Gaborone, Botswana. He won the Commonwealth boxing championships in Glasgow 2005 and the Commonwealth Games 2006. In the final 2006 he beat Vijender Kumar who received a standing 8 count 33-26. He is South Africa's first black Commonwealth boxing champion.

Bongani Khumalo: is a South African football (soccer) defender for Supersport United and South Africa.Forming a good partnership in central defence with Ricardo Katza or Morgan Gould as well as scoring crucial goals as set-piece threat, Khumalo's exploits have not gone unnoticed and he has been drafted into the South African national team by Joel Santana.Bongani was featured in one episode of the Super Sport (TV channel) 4 program 'Love PSL' on 19 Jan 2010, where he was taught Parkour by Dane Grant and Rob Purves from Parkour South Africa.
