George Thomas Baird: was a Canadian politician. He was first elected to the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick in 1884. He was appointed to the Legislative Council of New Brunswick in April 1891 and served until its abolition in 1892. At the general election held in 1892 he was again elected to the Legislative Assembly, where he sat until June 19, 1895 when he was called to the Senate on the advice of Mackenzie Bowell. A Conservative, he represented the senatorial division of Victoria, New Brunswick and served for almost 22 years until his death in 1917.

Barbara Lilian Baird: was the first female Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party in the Canadian province of New Brunswick from 1989 to 1991. She led the party during a time when it held no seats at all in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, having been shut out by Frank McKenna's historic sweep of all 58 seats in the 1987 provincial election. She was replaced by Dennis Cochrane before the 1991 election, and returned to her legal practice in Fredericton. She was made Queen's Counsel in December 2000, and was appointed to the Court of Queen's Bench of New Brunswick, Family Division in April 2007.

James Bryson Baird: was a politician in Manitoba, Canada. He served in the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba from 1907 to 1922, and was Speaker of the Assembly from 1916 to 1922. Baird was a member of the Liberal Party. He was elected as the first mayor of Pilot Mound, Manitoba, and served three successive terms without opposition. He was also a postmaster and president of the local Board of Trade, and served eight years as chairman of the public school board. He first ran for the Manitoba legislature in a by-election held on April 27, 1905 to replace former Liberal leader Thomas Greenway in the Mountain constituency. He lost to Conservative Daniel McIntyre by 146 votes. Baird ran again in the 1907 provincial election, and defeated McIntyre by 433 votes. Rodmond P. Roblin's Conservatives were returned with a majority government in this election, and Baird sat as an opposition member. He was re-elected by fairly comfortable margins in the elections of 1910 and 1914.
