He played his high school basketball at Foothill High School.A tough-minded ft 6 in guard who starred at Boise State University in the late 1980s, Childs went undrafted in the 1989 NBA Draft and began his professional career in the Continental Basketball Association. Childs played for five different teams in his first three seasons in the league, but he eventually found a home with the Quad City Thunder, with whom he won a league title and an MVP award in 1994 after averaging 17.9 points and 7.6 assists. His success in the minor leagues proved to be his ticket to the NBA, as he signed with the New Jersey Nets prior to the start of the 1994-95 NBA season. Childs spent his first two seasons in the NBA with the Nets, and he averaged an NBA career-high 12.8 points in 1995-96.

Chris Dean Carr: is an American professional basketball player who was selected by the Phoenix Suns in the 2nd round (56th overall) of the 1995 NBA Draft. Carr played six seasons in the NBA for the Suns, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Jersey Nets, Golden State Warriors, Chicago Bulls and Boston Celtics. His best year as a pro came during the 1997-98 season as a member of the Timberwolves, appearing in 51 games and averaging 9.9 ppg. Carr also appeared in the 1997 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Carr played collegiately at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He also played in Greece with AEK Athens BC and in Serbia with KK Lavovi 063.

Chris Jent: is a retired American professional basketball player and coach in the NBA.Jent grew up in Sparta, New Jersey. After attending high school at Sparta High School, he played college basketball for the Ohio State Buckeyes, leaving in 1992 after four seasons. He had a brief career in the NBA, playing three games each for the Houston Rockets (winning a championship ring in 1994) and New York Knicks (1996-97). In between his stints with the Rockets and the Knicks, he played with the Australian NBL's North Melbourne Giants in 1995 and also played in Italy, Spain and Greece.

Michael Chris: is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who attended the West Los Angeles Junior College. He appeared in games in three Major League seasons, starting approximately half of the games. The Detroit Tigers drafted him with the 10th overall pick of the 1977 Major League Baseball Draft and promoted him to the majors in 1979 to pitch in 13 games, starting eight. He did not impress, finishing with record of three wins against three losses, with a 6.92 ERA. The Tigers finally traded him to the San Francisco Giants in 1981 with Dan Schatzeder for Larry Herndon. He pitched in part of two seasons for the Tigers, but they placed him on waivers in 1983. The Chicago Cubs claimed him, but he never pitched for the Cubs, and they released him in the offseason.
