Derrek Dickey: was an American professional basketball player and sportscaster.A 6'7" forward, Dickey starred at the University of Cincinnati during the early 1970s before being selected by the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 1973 NBA Draft. Dickey played five seasons in the NBA with the Warriors and the Chicago Bulls, averaging 6.1 points per game and 4.9 rebounds per game. He was a key contributor on the 1975 Warriors team that won the NBA Championship.[1]

Derrek P. Konrad: was a member of the Canadian House of Commons from 1997 to 2000. He was elected to the Canadian House of Commons at the Prince Albert electoral district in the 1997 federal election. He was a member of the Reform party, later renamed the Canadian Alliance. After serving in the 36th Canadian Parliament, he left federal politics after losing the riding's Canadian Alliance nomination to Brian Fitzpatrick for the 2000 federal election.
