Pat Duncan: is a former politician in the Yukon, Canada. Duncan served as leader of the Yukon Liberal Party from 1998 to 2005 and as the sixth Premier of Yukon from 2000 until 2002. Duncan was the first Liberal premier of the Yukon and the first female premier in the Yukon, and only the second woman in Canadian history to win the premiership of a province or territory through a general election. Duncan was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the 1996 general election. Duncan was elected as a Liberal to represent the Porter Creek South riding, a riding located in Whitehorse. In the 1996 general election, Piers McDonald (New Democratic Party) won a majority government. Duncan was one of three Liberals elected. Liberal leader at the time, Ken Taylor, was unsuccessful in winning his Mount Lorne riding.

Kenneth Forrest Duncan: was a public servant, farmer, financial agent and political figure in British Columbia. He represented Cowichan in the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from 1919 to 1924 as an Independent member. He served as mayor of Duncan in 1907. In 1912, he married Agnes Patterson. Duncan was defeated by William Henry Hayward when he ran for a seat in the assembly in 1916 and then was elected in a 1919 by-election held after Hayward assumed official military duties in Ottawa. He was reelected in 1920 and then defeated when he ran for reelection in the new riding of Cowichan-Newcastle in 1924. He died in Duncan at the age of 70.

Dwight Duncan: is a politician in Ontario, Canada. He has been a member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario since 1995, and is the Minister of Finance in the government of Dalton McGuinty. Duncan is a member of the Ontario Liberal Party. Duncan was first elected to the Ontario legislature in the 1995 provincial election, defeating New Democratic Party incumbent Wayne Lessard by 380 votes in Windsor—Walkerville. The Progressive Conservative Party won a majority government in this election, and Duncan became a member of the official opposition. Between 1995 and 1999, he served as his party's critic for Labour, Privatization, Housing, Transportation, and the Workers Compensation Board. Duncan's 1995 opponent, Wayne Lessard, won a by-election for a different Windsor constituency in 1997. For the 1999 provincial election, redistribution forced the two MPPs to face one other a second time in Windsor—St. Clair. Duncan was again successful, defeating Lessard by over 4,000 votes. The Progressive Conservatives won a second majority government, and Duncan became opposition House Leader on June 25, 1999. He also served as Liberal Party critic for Municipal Affairs and the Management Board of Cabinet over the next four years.
