Emiliano Mutti: a geologist who has made significant contributions to petroleum geosciences, especially to sedimentary dynamics of turbidites and their reservoir characterization.Emiliano completed a Masters degree in geology at the University of Milan in 1959. His thesis was on the stratigraphy and structure of Tertiary Macigno turbidites in the Northern Apennines. From 1960-65 Emiliano was assistant professor of sedimentology at the University of Milan.In 1965, interest in research led him to accept a job with the Esso Production Research Lab in Bordeaux, the European affiliate of Exxon Production Research Company in Houston. Through this connection, Emiliano met Chuck Campbell, and the two of them did field work in Italy.

Emiliano Brembilla: is a freestyle swimmer from Italy, who won the bronze medal with the men's 4x200 m freestyle relay team at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. A long-distance specialist, he made his first mark at the 1997 European Swimming Championships in Seville, Spain, where he won three titles. Brembilla competed in three consecutive Summer Olympics for his native country, starting in 1996.

Emiliano Figueroa Larraín: was President of Chile from December 23, 1925 until his resignation on May 10, 1927. He also served as Vicepresident for a few months on 1910.Figueroa easily defeated Salas and became president on 23 December 1925. Figueroa kept the ambitious General Carlos Ibáñez as Minister of War, and later named him Minister of the Interior. In 1927, Ibáñez ordered the arrest of Figueroa's brother Javier Ángel, President of the Supreme Court.
