Frank Harary: was a prolific American mathematician, who specialized in graph theory, widely recognized as "father" of modern graph theory.Frank Harary was born in New York City, the oldest child to a family of Jewish immigrants from Syria and Palestine. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Brooklyn College in 1941 and 1945 respectively and his Ph.D. from University of California at Berkeley in 1948. During 1948-1986 he was with the University of Michigan. Since 1987 he was Professor (and Distinguished Professor Emeritus) in the Computer Science Department at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. He was the founder of the Journal of Combinatorial Theory and Journal of Graph Theory. He passed away at Memorial Medical Center, Las Cruces, New Mexico.

Frank Handlen: is an American painter.Born in Brooklyn, N.Y. in 1916, and raised in Caldwell, New Jersey, traditional artist Frank W. Handlen depicts ships, the sea and the Maine landscape in oil and pastels. In 1938, his mentor, marine artist Frederick Judd Waugh, encouraged him to go to Maine, "where it will all be before you". Handlen settled first in Biddeford Pool and later in Kennebunkport. As a young man, he worked in Bernie Warner's shipyard on the Kennebunk River and eventually designed and built his own forty-foot, sixteen ton topsail schooner, The Saltwind, which is moored in the Kennebunk River behind his house, very near the site of the old shipyard.

Calder represented BC's Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (which later became the New Democratic Party of British Columbia).

Frank made another attempt there in the 1972 general election and succeeded that time. However, he only served in the 29th Canadian Parliament and with changes to electoral district boundaries, he campaigned in the new Middlesex—London—Lambton riding and lost to Liberal candidate Larry Condon. Bill Frank made one more unsuccessful attempt to return to Parliament in the 1980 election at London—Middlesex, but again a Liberal candidate, Garnet Bloomfield, won.
