Friedrich Albert Lange: was a German philosopher and sociologist. Lange then began a career of militant journalism in the cause of political and social reform. He was prominent in public affairs, yet found enough time to write most of his best-known books, Die Leibesübungen (1863), Die Arbeiterfrage (1865, 5th ed. 1894), Geschichte des Materialismus (1866), and John Stuart Mills Ansichten über die soziale Frage (1866).

Johann Peter Lange: was a German Protestant theologian of peasant origin and was born at Sonneborn near Elberfeld. He studied theology at Bonn (from 1822) under K. I. Nitzsch and G. C. F. Lücke, held several pastorates, and eventually (1854) settled at Bonn as professor of theology in succession to Isaac August Dorner, becoming also in 1860 counsellor to the consistory. Lange has been called the poetical theologian par excellence: "It has been said of him that his thoughts succeed each other in such rapid and agitated waves that all calm reflection and all rational distinction become, in a manner, drowned" (F. Lichtenberger).

Oswald Hermann Lange            Origin/Culture/Country: German

Oswald Hermann Lange: was a German-American aerospace engineer and member of the "von Braun rocket group".[2] He contributed to early military aerospace projects, including the V-2 and Wasserfall, and eventually became project director of Saturn V.[2][3] He worked at Peenemünde from 1940 to 1945 on guidance and control aspects of the V-2 ballistic missile and the Wasserfall surface-to-air missile. After the war, he worked at the Royal Aircraft Establishment (1947), but emigrated to the US in 1954, working briefly at Martin Aircraft.[1][2] In 1959, he was naturalized as a US citizen and became head of the Saturn project office.[2] He retired in 1977.[1]
