Alfred 'Topsy' Waldron: was an Australian rules footballer who played for Norwood in the South Australian Football Association (SAFA) during the 19th century. He also played a couple of first-class cricket matches with South Australia. He had started his career at Albert Park and then crossed to Carlton. After playing in Carlton's 1877 VFA premiership side, Waldron was convinced by a friend to go to Norwood and he joined them for their second season in the SAFA. He also captained South Australia in three inter colonial games and played in three others. When the South Australian Football Hall of Fame was opened to inductees in 2002, Waldron was one of the first added and the oldest. His two first-class cricket matches were played almost five years apart, in the 1881/82 and 1887/88 summers. Waldron failed with the bat in both but took 3 for 18 against Victoria at the Adelaide Oval in what was the only innings he bowled in. One of those wickets was Test cricketer Tup Scott.

Alfred Gordon Andrew-Street: was an Australian sportsman who played first-class cricket for Victoria and Australian rules football in the VFL with Collingwood. Andrew-Street, originally from Sydney, played a total of six games at Collingwood, five in 1933 and the other in 1934. His only first-class game came in 1937/38 against Tasmania at the Melbourne Cricket Ground where he opened the batting in both innings, making 21 and 16.

In 1975, he was elected as a councilor for the former city of Gatineau and later entered provincial politics where he was elected in Papineau as a Parti Québécois candidate. He served a full term as a PQ and Independent member but was defeated in the newly formed riding of Chapleau which portions were split from Gatineau and Papineau. He was a candidate again in 1989, but lost to the Liberal, John Kehoe. He made a brief attempt at federal politics but failed to become a Bloc Québécois prior to the 1997 elections.
