His half siblings were Laurence John, Alice, Albert Francis, Bernard John, Gregory Stanislaus, James, Austin Davoren and Marie. He married Victoria Clara Millar (daughter of Samuel Millar and Mary Ann Millar née Young) on 15 October 1921 in Queensland. Children of the marriage were Portia, Albert Victor (known as Victor) and Deirdre. Victor was also a prominent architect. Bruce Dellit died in 1942 in Sydney.
