Takako Fuji: a Japanese actress and seiyu with strong ties to theatre.Fuji was born in Tokyo. She is a member of the Ein Theatrical Company, and studied acting at the Aoyama Gakuin University. Fuji is usually working on-stage or doing voice-overs, but occasionally also appears in films. Her most memorable role to this date is that of Kayako Saeki the vengeful ghost in the Ju-on series. She first played Kayako in the 1998 short movie Katasumi, part of the Gakkô no kaidan G collection. She then reprised her role in the straight-to-video film Ju-on and its sequel Ju-on 2. Takako Uehara: a Jpop singer. She is a member of the group SPEED. Uehara was born in Okinawa, Japan.Uehara is often typecast as the prettiest member of SPEED and ranks among the 'exceptional' female beauties of Japan. Her highly anticipated first solo single 'My First Love' was released in January 1999, and was produced by legendary Jpop superstar Ryuichi Kawamura (of Luna Sea). "My First Love" was the beginning of a prosperous collaboration between Uehara and Kawamura. The single itself was very successful and topped the charts selling over 500,000 copies. The promotional video along with the cover and leaflet photos for 'My First Love' were all shot on location in Hawaii. Uehara followed up with her second and third singles, 'Come Close to Me' and 'My Greatest Memories'. In July 2000 following the disbandment of SPEED, she became the first member of the group to release a solo album: My First Wing.

Takako Saito: a Japanese artist, born in Sabae-Shi, Fukui Province in Japan in 1929. Closely associated with Fluxus, the international collective of avant-garde artists that was active primarily in the 1960s and 1970s, she currently lives in Dusseldorf in Germany. She is most famous for her Silent Music piece and for her disrupted Chess sets.

Takako Doi: was a prominent Japanese politician until her retirement in 2005.Doi was born in Hyogo Prefecture and graduated from Doshisha University, where she studied law. She was elected to the the House of Representatives, the lower house of the Diet, as a member of the Japan Socialist Party (JSP) in 1969, representing the 2nd district of Hyogo. She spent her first ten years in the House on the sidelines, but came to national attention in 1980 when she was highly critical of Japan's unequal treatment of women, specifically about women-only home economics degrees and the father-dominated family registration law. She pressured the Diet to sign the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) in 1985.
