Since he had to join the army, for several years Drupass played in army clubs - SKA Khabarovsk and CSKA Moscow but in 1986 he was back in Daugava (6 goals in 33 matches).

Aivars Aksenoks: is a Latvian politician. A founder of the right-wing New Era, Aksenoks has a degree in engineering from the Riga Technical University and was the director of State Road and Traffic Safety Agency from 1992–2002. He was also a justice misister, serving from 2003–2004. However, he is best known for being the mayor of Riga from March 29, 2005 to February 19, 2007. He currently serves as the deputy head of Traffic Safety Agency.

He graduated from University of Latvia in 1968, in 1977 he attained candidate of legal sciences degree, but in 1997 he became Doctor of Jurisprudence. He has worked as a lecturer in University of Latvia and, later, in higher school of business "Turiba". He was a member of Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1963 to 1990, before he became member of Popular Front of Latvia and MP of Supreme Council of the Republic of Latvia.
