Franciszek Ksawery Kasparek: was a Polish jurist, professor of law and rector of Kraków University, founder of the first chair in international law in Poland (at Kraków University), and member of the Polish Academy of Learning in Kraków.

Franciszek Hieronim Malewski            Origin/Culture/Country: Polish

Franciszek Hieronim Malewski: was a Polish[1] lawyer, archivist and journalist. In 1815 he graduated from the Vilna-based gimnazjum wilenskie and started legal studies at the local university. Founding member of the Filomatic Society and friend to Adam Mickiewicz, he was also a co-founder of the Filaretic Society. Arrested in 1823 for membership in aforementioned societies, the following year he was sentenced to forced resettlement to Russia by tsarist authorities.In 1829 he was allowed to settle in St. Petersburg, where he started working at the Lithuanian Metrica Office. Around that time he also founded the Tygodnik Petersburski (Petersburg weekly), the first Polish-language newspaper to be published in that city. In 1832 he married Helena née Szymanowska (daughter to Maria Szymanowska and sister to Celina née Szymanowska, future wife of Adam Mickiewicz). Among his children was Maria Malewska who would later become wife of Wladyslaw Mickiewicz, poet's son. He died April 10, 1870.

Franciszek Zmurko            Origin/Culture/Country: Polish

Franciszek Zmurko: was a Polish painter. Zmurko began drawing lessons as a young boy in his hometown with the painter Franciszek Tepa. As an adolescent he moved to Krakow to study at the The Academy of Fine Arts where he had lessons from Jan Matejko. In 1877 Zmurko moved to Vienna, Austria where he was accepted at the Vienna Academy, but left soon thereafter to study under Aleksander Wagner in Munich. Zmurko returned to Krakow in 1880 and then moved to Warsaw in 1882 where he remained until his death in 1910.
