Franciszek Smuglewicz: was a Polish draughtsman and painter. Brother of Antoni, he is considered the first Polish historical painter and, to certain extent, a spiritual father of Jan Matejko's school.Smuglewicz was born October 6, 1745 in Warsaw, Poland. In 1763 he moved to Rome, where he started studies of fine arts under tutorship of Anton von Maron. In 1765 he received a royal scholarship of king Stanislaw August Poniatowski and was admitted to the Saint Lucas Academy. As a collaborator of Vincenzo Brenna he has participated in inventarisation of Nero`s Domus Aurea. In 1784 he returned to his native Warsaw, where he founded his own school of fine arts, one of the predecessors of the modern Academy of Fine Arts.

Franciszek Jarecki: is a former pilot of the Polish Air Force, whose name became famous in early 1953, when he decided to escape Soviet-controlled Poland in a Mig-15 plane, which was one of the best planes owned by the Soviets at that time.a town near Kraków. He was a graduate of a prestigious Polish Air Force school of aviation in Deblin. Some time in the early 1950s he was moved to Slupsk in northern Poland, near the Baltic Sea. There, he flew Soviet MiG-15 planes, as a few of them were owned by the Polish Air Force.

Franciszek Salezy Jezierski: was a Polish writer, social and political activist of the Enlightenment period. A Catholic priest, he was involved with the creation of the Commission of National Education. Member of the Hugo Kollataj's Forge. Librarian of the Jagiellonian University. Supporter of the radical reforms, he attacked the privileges of the nobility (even through he was a petty noble himself) and supporter the causes of burghers and peasants.

Franciszek Pieczka: is a Polish film and stage actor. A graduate of the Theatrical Academy in Warsaw, he first made his debut in the theatre in Jelenia Góra. He won the award for Best Actor at the Polish Film Festival in 1976 for The Scar.[1]
