Henri Léon Lebesgue: was a French mathematician most famous for his theory of integration, which was a generalization of the seventeenth century concept of integration—summing the area between an axis and the curve of a function defined for that axis. His theory was published originally in his dissertation Intégrale, longueur, aire ("Integral, length, area") at the University of Nancy during 1902.

Henri Eugène Padé: was a French mathematician, who is now remembered mainly for his development of approximation techniques for functions using rational functions. He was educated at École Normale Supérieure in Paris. He then spent a year at Leipzig and Göttingen.

Henri Bouchard: was a French sculptor. The son of a carpenter, Bouchard was born in Dijon. He was educated at the Académie Julian and in the studio of Louis-Ernest Barrias before entering the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He took the Prix de Rome in 1901. His attention turned away from models from antiquity, and towards peasants, everyday life, and ordinary workers. Bouchard himself became a professor at the Académie Julian in 1910.

Active in the United States of America, he produced a fountain sculpture of 4 equestrian statues for Harbor Hill (moved in 1947 to Mill Creek Park, adjacent to the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City, Missouri) and the copy of The Kiss in the Philadelphia Rodin Museum.
