Ludwik Abramowicz-Niepokójczycki            Origin/Culture/Country: Polish

Ludwik Abramowicz-Niepokójczycki: was a Polish activist, biliophile, publicist and editor. He was one of the major activists of the krajowcy faction, living in Vilnius (Wilno).he studied in Kharkov and Kraków. In 1906 he moved to Vilnius.[1] During World War I, while living in Poland, he actively supported Lithuanian independence.[1] There he was active contributor to Gazeta Wilenska, founded by Michal Römer. Later he was an editor of Polish language newspaper Przeglad Wilenski (Wilno Review, 1912–1913, 1921–1939).[1] The newspaper promoted krajowcy views and developed Lithuanian cultural ideas separate from Polish culture. After Abramowicz returned to Vilnius in 1919, he actively promoted the idea, that Vilnius Region should be transferred to Lithuania without tying Lithuania to union with Poland, although he suggested a cultural autonomy for Poles.[1] The issues of the Przeglad Wilenski newspaper were confiscated many times by local authorities.[1]

Ludwik Zychlinski: was a Polish patriotic activist, pulkownik, diarist. Zychlinski participated in Giuseppe Garibaldi's expedition of Sicily (1860). During the American Civil War, he fought by the Union side (1862-1863). He was a pulkownik at January Uprising (1863-1864).

Ludwik Solski: was a Polish stage actor and theatre director. From his stage debut in 1876 until his death (his last performance took place six months after his 99th birthday) he played in nearly a thousand roles.Between 1905 and 1913 he was the director-general of the municipal theatre in Cracow. He worked in various Polish theatres in the period 1918-1939 and returned to Cracow in 1944.

Ludwik Adam Mieroslawski: was a Polish general, writer, poet, historian and political activist. Took part in the November Uprising of 1830s, after its fall he emigrated to France, where he taught Slavic history and military theory. Chosen as a commander for the Greater Poland Uprising of 1846, he was taken prisoner early but amnestied during the Spring of Nations. In 1848 and 1849 he fought for the insurgents in Baden and Electoral Palatinate. Afterwards he returned to France; he also had contacts with Italian activists like Giuseppe Garibaldi. He also took part in the January Uprising in the 1860s, and the first of four dictators of the Uprising.
