Ludwik Gintel: was a soccer player for Cracovia Kraków, who played as a defender (later forward). He was also capped 12 times for the Polish national team, including their first ever Olympic appearance at the 1924 Olympic Games. With Cracovia, he was twice the champion of Poland (1921 and 1930).

His textbook The Theory of Relativity was published by Cambridge University Press in 1914 with a second edition, expanded to include general relativity, in 1924.Silberstein was born May 17, 1872 in Warsaw to Samuel Silberstein and Emily Steinkalk. He was educated in Cracow, Heidelberg, and Berlin. To teach he went to Bologna, Italy from 1899 to 1904, switching then to the University of Rome until 1920. That year he entered private research for the Eastman Kodak Company of Rochester, New York. For nine years he maintained this consultancy with Kodak labs while he gave his relativity course on occasion at the University of Chicago, the University of Toronto, and Cornell University.He lived until January 17, 1948.

Ludwik Abramowicz: was a Polish activist and teacher.he studied at the University of Kiev. In 1918 he was working as a teacher in Lithuanian language teaching gymnasium in Telšiai, (which was establishing independence from the Russian Empire during the time). Later in the interbellum period he became the director of one of the four Polish high schools in interwar Lithuania, (Adam Mickiewicz gymnasium in Kaunas (Polish: Gimnazjum im. Adama Mickiewicza w Kownie). After the Soviet invasion, he was briefly a burmister of Telšiai. From 1945-1947 he worked in a repatriation office in Vilnius, later he moved to Poland (in 1947).
