Masaru Kitao: a Japanese animator known for his work with Madhouse.Primarily a key animator and animation director for TV anime, Kitao has also on occasion done character designs. Recently, he has won much praise for his adaptated character designs for the popular Death Note TV series. Consequently, Death Note has become one of the works he is best known for. Along with Death Note director Tetsuro Araki, he attended Anime Expo 2007.

Masaru Hayami: was a Japanese businessman from Kobe. He graduated from The Tokyo College of Commerce (now Hitotsubashi University) in 1947.[1]The former CEO of the Nissho Iwai Corporation, he later served as governor of the Bank of Japan (BOJ) from 1998 to 2003.[2] Hayami was a controversial BOJ governor because he insisted Japanese politicians must change the structure of the economy before the BOJ could take further measures to end deflation.

Masaru Ibuka: was a Japanese electronics industrialist. He co-founded what is now Sony.He graduated in 1933 from Waseda University where he was nicknamed "Captain America." After graduating, he went to work at Photo-Chemical Laboratory, a company which processed movie film. In 1945, he left the company and founded a radio repair shop in Tokyo.In 1946 Ibuka and Akio Morita co-founded Sony Corporation, originally named Tokyo Telecommunications Engineering Corporation (prior to 1958). Ibuka was instrumental in securing the licensing of transistor technology to Sony from Bell Labs in the 1950s, thus making Sony one of the first companies to apply transistor technology to non-military uses. Ibuka served as president of Sony from 1950 to 1971, and then served as chairman of Sony between 1971 and 1976. Ibuka left Sony in 1976, but maintained close ties as an advisor until his death in 1997 of a heart failure.

Masaru Kaneko: a Japanese economist specializing in Institutional economics, public finance and local government finance. He is best known for appearance in TV shows such as Sunday Morning or Asamade nama terebi and authoring several books and newspaper articles. Since 2000, he has been a professor at Keio University.

Masaru Kageura: was a Japanese baseball player from Matsuyama, Ehime. His team reached the final in the 1932 National High School Baseball Championship, but his team was defeated by Masao Yoshida in the final. He joined Tigers and he was a good rival for Eiji Sawamura in Giants. He was killed in the battle of the Philippines in World War II. He was inducted into the Japanese Baseball Hall of Fame in 1965. He is one of two baseball players (Eiji Sawamura is the other) who was inducted into the Hall of Fame after being killed in World War II.
