Petra Lammert: is a former German shot putter. Her personal best throw is 20.04 metres, achieved in May 2007 in Zeven. In November 2010 she announced her retirement from the sport through persistent elbow injury she'd first sustained after a fall in training two years earlier.[1]

Petra Pfaff: is a retired East German hurdler. In 1980, a special edition of the World Championships was staged in Sittard, holding events not yet on the Olympic programme. Pfaff won the bronze medal in the 400 m hurdles behind compatriots Bärbel Broschat and Ellen Neumann.[1] Pfaff later won the silver medal in the women's 400m hurdles at the 1982 European Championships behind Sweden's Ann-Louise Skoglund.
