Saint Malo: was the mid-6th century founder of Saint-Malo in Brittany, France. He is one of the seven founder saints of Brittany. Details of Malo's career are preserved in three medieval 'Lives' which seem to include incidents associated with several different people of similar names. Despite this confusion, it appears that Malo was born about the year 520, probably in Wales.

Saint-Preux: is a contemporary French composer who has been composing from his youth on. In August 1969 he took part in the Sopot International Song Festival in Poland where the then 19-year old successfully conducted a symphony orchestra and won a prize with his first grand composition La valse de l'enfance (engl. The waltz of youth). Encouraged by this appreciation Saint-Preux was able to work all nights long on his second composition Concerto pour une voix (engl. Concerto for one voice) whilst his stay in Poland.

Saint Isaac Jogues: was a Jesuit priest, missionary, and martyr who traveled and worked among the native populations in North America. He gave the original European name to Lake George, calling it Lac du Saint Sacrement, Lake of the Blessed Sacrament. In 1646, Jogues was martyred by the Mohawks near the present day Auriesville, New York. Jogues, St. Jean de Brébeuf and six other martyred missionaries

Saint-Marc Girardin: was a French politician and man of letters, whose real name was Marc Girardin. After a brilliant university career in the city, he began in 1828 to contribute to the Journal des Débats, on the staff of which he remained for nearly half a century. After the July Revolution and the accession of Louis Philippe as King of the French (the liberal July Monarchy), he was appointed professor of history at the Sorbonne and master of requests in the Conseil d'État.
