Wlodzimierz Przerwa-Tetmajer: was a Polish painter with works in collections of the Warsaw National Museum and Kraków.Tetmajer studied painting at the Kraków School of Fine Arts (Szkola Sztuk Pieknych w Krakowie) from 1875 to 1886, than in Viena and Munich (1886-1889), in Paris at the Académie Colarossi, and with Jan Matejko from 1889 to 1895.In 1890 he maried Anna Mikolajczykówna, a peasant’s daughter from Bronowice in the spirit of the Young Poland's return to the roots. His village wedding became the inspiration for the dramatist Stanislaw Wyspianski who wrote defining Polish independence drama called "Wesele" (The Wedding). Tetmajer settled with his wife in a remote house covered with thatch, where he was visited by poet Lucjan Rydel among others.

Wlodzimierz Ksiazek: is a contemporary artist based in New England, and since 2001 works from a 6000 sq. ft. studio in Rhode Island. He is best known for his large-scale abstract paintings.His works are abstract. He uses oil paints and encaustic painting on large canvasses to build up layers with thin washes and impastos, then scratches, splatters, gouges and picks at the paint to create incised geometric forms and lines.[3][2] His works take up to six months to complete,[3] and are usually untitled.

Wlodzimierz Jacek Papla: is a Polish graphic artist and painter, a director of the Institute of Fine Arts at the University of Zielona Góra.Papla, who graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Poznan in 1976, is an exhibiting artist since 1975. He took part in numerous leading national and international shows, and in 1985 was awarded the Stanislaw Wyspianski Prize for the Young Artists.[1] Papla is the president of Stowarzyszenie Polskich Artystów Malarzy i Grafików "Wielkopolska".
