Wlodzimierz Tetmajer: was a Polish painter with works in collections of the Warsaw National Museum and Kraków.Tetmajer studied painting at the Kraków School of Fine Arts (Szkola Sztuk Pieknych w Krakowie) from 1875 to 1886, than in Viena and Munich (1886-1889), in Paris at the Académie Colarossi, and with Jan Matejko from 1889 to 1895.In 1890 he married Anna Mikolajczykówna, a peasant’s daughter from Bronowice in the spirit of the Young Poland's return to the roots. His village wedding became the inspiration for the dramatist Stanislaw Wyspianski who wrote defining Polish independence drama called "Wesele" (The Wedding). Tetmajer settled with his wife in a remote house covered with thatch, where he was visited by poet Lucjan Rydel among others.

Wlodzimierz Zakrzewski: was a Polish painter, graphician and poster artist. He was a professor of Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, founder and director of Front Poster Studio (Polish: Pracownia Plakatu Frontowego) of Ludowe Wojsko Polskie (1944–1948), member of the Group of Realists (Grupa Realistów).Zakrzewski was an author of sociopolitical posters, landscape paintings (especially city landscapes of Warsaw and Paris) and figural compositions. He was a co-initiator of socialist realism in Polish painting and poster.

Wlodzimierz Ptasznik: is a Polish politician, he has a Ph.D. in agricultural sciences and has been the mayor of Ilawa since 2006.In 1970 he graduated from Wyzsza Szkola Rolnicza in Olsztyn (which was later renamed as Akademia Rolniczo-Techniczna of Michal Oczapowski). In 1976 he got a Ph.D. in agricultural sciences on the basis of his dissertation about the decreases in seed mass in processing processes carried out in the Olsztynskie Przedsiebiorstwo Hodowli Roslin and Nasiennictwa in Olsztyn. In 1976-1989 he was a lecturer at the Akademia Rolniczo-Techniczna of Michal Oczapowski in Olsztyn. From 1989 until 1992 he was the Associate Dean of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the mentioned academy. At the same time, he was also the director of the Zaklad Eksploatacji Maszyn Przemyslu Spozywczego.
