Friedrich Wolf: was a German doctor and writer. From 1907 until 1912 he studied medicine, philosophy and art history in Munich, Tübingen, Bonn, and Berlin and became a doctor in 1913. In 1914 he worked first as a ship's doctor on the route between Canada, Greenland and the United States, and then in the same year became a field doctor on the Western Front in World War I; this experience made him a strong opponent of war. In 1917 he published his first prose pieces.

Nathanael Matthaeus Von Wolf: was a scientist, physician, astronomer and medicine of Corps of Cadets in Warsaw. He spent most of his adult life in Danzig (Gdansk). Von Wolf studied medicine at the University of Erfurt and received his M.D. en 1748. He became the personal doctor of Teodor Kazimierz Czartoryski, the Prince-bishop of Poznan, until his death in 1768. He then opened a private office in 1769 at Tczew and then at Danzig (Gdansk) in 1772.

Theodor Wolf: was a German naturalist who studied the Galápagos Islands during the late nineteenth century. Wolf Island (Wenman Island) is named after him. The wolf volcano on Isabela Island was also named after him. He was born at Bartholomä (in the Ostalbkreis). He published his Ein Besuch der Galápagos-Inseln, Sammlung von Vortraegen fuer das deutsche Volk (“A Visit to the Galápagos Islands: A Collection of Presentations for the German People”) in 1892. His observations also include notes on the human population on the islands.

Leonard George Wolf: was a one-term Democratic U.S. Representative from Iowa's 2nd congressional district. He was elected in 1958 and defeated in 1960 when seeking re-election. He served in the United States Navy from 1944 to 1946, in the Pacific Ocean theater of World War II
