Seyyed Mohammad Ali Abtahi: is an Iranian theologian, scholar and chairman of the Institute for Interreligious Dialogue. He is a former Vice President of Iran and a close associate of former President Mohammad Khatami. Abtahi is a member of the central council of Association of Combatant Clerics (Majma'e Rowhaniyoon-e Mobarez), the political grouping to which both Khatami and the 2009 presidential candidate Mehdi Karroubi (the previous Speaker of Majlis of Iran) belong.

Seyyed Mohammad Reza Khatami: is an Iranian politician and nephrologist.He was the first Secretary-General of the Islamic Iran Participation Front, the largest Iranian reformist party. He is now a member of the central council of the party. He is also the former deputy speaker of the Iranian parliament, the grandson-in-law of the late Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and the younger brother of the fifth Iranian president Mohammad Khatami.

He was among the founding members, along with Abdolhossein Teymourtash, of the reformist party Hezb-e Eslaah-talab of the time, which was formed during the fourth national Majlis of Iran. He has been called "brave and incorruptible" and "perhaps the most fervent mullah supporter of true constitutional government.

Seyyed Kazem Nourmofidi: is an Iranian cleric.He was appointed by Ayatollah Khomeini as Friday Prayer Imam of Gorgan, Iran in summer 1979, only six months after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in February 1979. He was also appointed as special representative of Ayatollah Khomeini, in Gorgan in fall 1982. His position was reaffirmed by Khomeini's successor Ali Khamenei in 1989.
