H. Shapovalov. He was bought by Metalist during the 2006/2007 season in 2007, however was put in Metalist Reserves. Myron Markevych promoted Selin to the senior team for the 2008–09 season. Spotted by Pavel Yakovenko, Selin was called up to the Ukrainian Under-21 National Football Team.

He is the product of the Chornomoret Odessa Youth school system and has played for the reserve squad and youth squad. Past made his first team debut for Chornomorets in an Ukrainian Premier League match against SC Tavriya Simferopol on 28 February 2010.

He gave his debut for the Metalurh Zaporizhya senior team on June 10, 2007, during the Ukrainian Premier League home match against rival FC Kharkiv, which Metalurh club won 3:1.
