Keiko Abe: a Japanese composer and marimba player. She has been a primary figure in the development of the marimba, in terms of expanding both technique and repertoire, and through her collaboration with the Yamaha musical instrument company, developed the modern five-octave concert marimba.Japan Abe began playing the xylophone while in elementary school. She studied xylophone with Eiichi Asabuki in Tokyo. At age 13, she won an NHK talent contest and began performing professionally on live radio. She attended Tokyo Gakugei University where she completed a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Music Education. She began working in the Columbia Japan, NHK and other recording studios while in college.

The Japanese composer Akira Ifukube composed for her.Nosaka joined the Pro Musica Nipponia ensemble in 1965, continuing as an active member for 17 years. She has released several CDs.

Keiko Mukaide: an internationally renowned[1] Japanese artist currently living and working in the UK. She studied glass at the Royal College of Art in London and was awarded a research fellowship from the Edinburgh College of Art. She has work in many public and private collections in the UK and was shortlisted for the 1998 Jerwood Prize for applied art.Her art work employs a number of glass making techniques, casting and fusing glass in a kiln, manipulating glass in a blowing studio and even gluing shards of dichroic glass to wire nets. Her recent work has been to produce large scale, site specific installations constructed from multiple small scale glass items. "Memory of Place" funded by The Arts Council of England and Scottish Arts Council at York St. Mary's, Castlegate, York is a good example of this approach.

Keiko Ihara: a Japanese female race car driver. She was a former race queen, one of the women who dress up in swimsuits and parade around race circuits, before deciding to become a racing driver. She is one of the few Japanese women nationals to race internationally at a high level. Her best finishes in the British Formula 3 International Championship are two 8th places finishes in 2005, which helped her to a final championship standing position of 16th with 12 points. In the 2006 series, she finished in 17th and last position in the Championship Class, with 4 points.
