Shinichi Sato: a former professional baseball player from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.Sato joined the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks at age 28, but did not live up to expectations with the team. He was traded to the Yakult Swallows in 1996, and played in 113 games in 1999, marking a .341 batting average. He also broke the team record with 25 consecutive game hits. He was relegated to pinch-hitting duty afterwards, and retired after the 2005 season at age 40. He currently works as a fielding coach under Tokyo Yakult Swallows manager Atsuya Furuta.

Yoshinori Sato: a starting pitcher for the Tokyo Yakult Swallows.Sato clocked some of the fastest speeds in tournament history with his fastball when he pitched in the 89th National High School Baseball Championship in 2007 as a senior for Sendai Ikuei Gakuen High School. Despite his diminutive size, he has made a name for himself as one of the hardest-throwing young pitchers in all of Japanese professional baseball.

Nobuo Sato: a former Japanese figure skater who is now a coach. Along with Machiko Yamada, he is one of the more successful coaches in Japan. He is a ten-time national champion and competed at the 1960 and 1964 Winter Olympic Games. His best finish at the World Championships was 4th in 1965. He is married to Kumiko Okawa. Their daughter is Yuka Sato, the 1994 World Champion. His current students include 2006 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist and the 2007 Asia Champion, Yukari Nakano and World Junior Champion Takahiko Kozuka. His former students include Yuka Sato, Miki Ando, the 2007 World Champion, and 2004 Grand Prix Final Champion, three time World medalist Fumie Suguri.

Noriko Sato: a Japanese figure skater who is now a coach. She competed in Ice Dancing with Tadayuki Takahashi from 1979. They placed 17th in the 1984 Winter Olympic Games. She was six-time Japanese national champion from 1980 to 1985.
