Keisuke Honda: a Japanese football player. He is a midfielder and can also play as a left full back. He currently plays for Eerste Divisie side VVV-Venlo.He started playing football with a local club called Settsu Club when he was a second-grader at primary school. He joined Gamba Osaka's junior youth team but the club did not promote him to their youth team. He entered Seiryo High School in Ishikawa Prefecture and started playing for the school club. He was one of the key players when Seiryo advanced to the semi-final stage of the national high school championship for the first time as a representative of Ishikawa Prefecture. He was chosen as one of the Designated Players for Development by J. League and JFA in 2004.

He is a centre back and currently plays for the J-league team Urawa Red Diamonds.[1] After graduating from the university in 2002, he joined Urawa Red Diamonds and immediately broke into the first team. His first appearance came on March 3, 2002 against Yokohama F. Marinos. He scored his first league goal on May 17, 2003 against Gamba Osaka. He won the J-League Young Player of the Year award in 2002 and was selected as one of the J.
