Toshiki Sato: a Japanese film director and screenwriter best known for his pink films of the 1990s. Along with fellow directors, Takahisa Zeze, Kazuhiro Sano and Hisayasu Sato, he is known as one of the "Four Heavenly Kings of Pink" (??????, pinku shitenno?).[1]Toshiki Sato was born in 1961 and graduated from Nikkatsu Arts School.[2] After graduation, Sato worked as an AV (Adult Video) director for a few years before making his film debut in 1989. His debut film was the unsuccessful 1989 pink film drama, The Beast.[2] AV idol Maya Asabuki starred in this film judged "light on drama, but heavy on sex scenes."[3]

Kennosuke (Ken) Sato: was a writer and overseas journalist for the Osaka Mainichi Shimbun newspaper. He worked on a Ph. D. at Columbia University in 1921 and attended the University of Berlin in 1922/3. He was a fluent speaker of English.

Michihiro Sato: a prominent Japanese player of the Tsugaru-jamisen.His mother was a traditional dancer and musician. He became interested in the Tsugaru-jamisen at an early age after hearing it on a radio broadcast and began intensive study of the instrument in 1970, at the age of 13. At that time, few young people were interested in this instrument; indeed, most of the other students were elderly. When he was a junior in college he moved to Hirosaki, Aomori to become an apprentice to master musician Chisato Yamada. In 1982 and 1983 he won first prize in the national Tsugaru-jamisen competition, becoming the first performer to win in two consecutive years. He eventually left his sensei to pursue his interest in free improvised music.

Naoki Sato: a Japanese composer and producer who has provided the music for several popular anime series. He was born on May 21970 and graduated in Chiba Prefecture and Tokyo College of Music. At the 29th Japanese Academy Awards in 2006, he won the Best Music prize for his work on the film Always Sanchome no Yuhi.

Shinichi Sato: a former professional baseball player from Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan.Sato joined the Fukuoka Daiei Hawks at age 28, but did not live up to expectations with the team. He was traded to the Yakult Swallows in 1996, and played in 113 games in 1999, marking a .341 batting average. He also broke the team record with 25 consecutive game hits. He was relegated to pinch-hitting duty afterwards, and retired after the 2005 season at age 40. He currently works as a fielding coach under Tokyo Yakult Swallows manager Atsuya Furuta.
