Better known as Habib (for short), is a Bangladeshi composer and musician. He is notable for his fusion of traditional Bengali folk music with contemporary techno and urban beats. His music was mainly influenced from British Bangladeshis, while he was living there as a student. He takes folk music and remixes with popular music forms. He was elected president of the 41st session of the UN General Assembly in 1986. Mr. Choudhury was fluent in Bengali, English, Urdu, French and Italian, and had a working knowledge of Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, German and Indonesian. He died in Dhaka on 10 July 2001.[1]
