He dreamed of becoming a singer after having gone to the first concert in his life at the age of 12. He has one elder sister, Darin Sakdatorn (nicknamed "Dow"). He attended primary school at Montfort College in Chiang mai until grade 8, and then went to study abroad at The Peddie School in New Jersey, United States. After graduating as the Valedictorian of the Class of 2001, he went on to major in Economics at Harvard University.
