His career started in 1989 when he participated in a Greek television casting show. After a short period of stage acting, Alkaios dedicated himself to music. His compositions have been performed in Greece and abroad. Two CDs with his works have been recorded. His works have been published by ARKYS (www.arkys.gr). He is a member of the “Greek Composers' Union”. Since 2006 he is teaching at the department of Music Art and Science, University of Macedonia, Thessaloniki.
