Juha Ilmari Leiviskä: one of Finland's leading living architects.Leiviskä studied architecture at Helsinki University of Technology, qualifying as an architect in 1963. He established his own office in 1964, while also working as a teaching assistant at Helsinki University of Technology.Leiviskä also worked with architect Bertel Saarnio, and together they won an architectural competition for the Kouvola Town Hall (1964-68), regarded as one of the most significant public buildings in Finland during the 1960s, and brought much critical attention to the young architect.

Juha Suoranta: a Finnish educational researcher, and public intellectual. He holds Professorship in Adult Education at the University of Tampere in his hometown. Previously he has worked as Professor of Education at the University of Lapland in 1997-2004, and Professor of Adult Education at the University of Joensuu in 2004-2006. He is also Adjunct Professor in Music Education (Sibelius Academy, Finland), and in media education (see: media literacy) (University of Tampere, Finland).

Juha Tiainen: was a former hammer thrower from Finland who won the gold medal at the 1984 Summer Olympics. The same year he achieved his personal best throw, 81.52 metres.

Juha Iisakki Mieto: a former Finnish cross country skier who competed during the 1970s and 1980s. He won five medals at the Winter Olympics. His loss to Sweden's Thomas Wassberg in the 15km at the 1980 Winter Olympics by 0.01 seconds, the closest margin of victory ever in Olympic cross-country skiing led the International Ski Federation (FIS) to round all of their times to the nearest 1/10th second in future competitions.Mieto also won four medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, with silvers in the 30 km (1974) and the 4 x 10 km (1978), and bronzes in the 15 km (1978) and the 4 x 10 km (1982, tied with East Germany). His biggest success as a cross country skier was at the Holmenkollen ski festival where he won the 50 km once (1973) and the 15 km five times (1973-1975, 1977-1978).

Juha Pekka Hakola: is a Finnish professional footballer, who plays for Heracles Almelo in Eredivisie in The Netherlands.In 2007 he also went on trial with RCD Espanyol. On December 30 it was announced that Hakola signed a 1.5 year contract with Heracles Almelo in the Erediv
