Béla Schick: was a Hungarian-born American pediatrician. He is the founder of the Schick test. Was born in Balatonboglár, Hungary [1], and brought up in Graz, Austria[2], where he attended medical school. In 1902 he joined the Medicine Faculty of the University of Vienna where he remained until 1923. Studying problems of immunity, he and a colleague first coined the term 'allergy' as a clinical entity. His discovery of a test for susceptibility to diphtheria (“the Schick test”)[3] made him world famous. From 1923 he directed the Pediatric Department of Mount Sinai Hospital, New York. From 1936 he was also professor at Columbia University. From 1950 to 1962 Schick headed the Pediatric Department of Beth-El Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. His later interests included the nutrition of the newborn and feeding problems in children.
Béla Szabados Origin/Culture/Country: Hungaian
Béla Szabados: was a Hungarian composer. He first studied composition and the piano with Gyula Erkel, later with Robert Volkmann, Hans Koessler and Sándor Nikolits. In 1888 he joined the staff of the Academy of Music and Dramatic Art as accompanist and coach, and in 1893 was appointed piano teacher and coach at the reorganized Academy of Music.

Béla Bugár: a Magyar (ethnically Hungarian) politician in Slovakia. He was the leader of Party of the Hungarian Coalition from 1998 until 2007, with Pál Csáky as his successor. Bugar is since 1992 MP of the National Council of the Slovak Republic. He was its acting speaker from 7 February, to 4 July 2006. Béla Bugár has already announced that he is going to retire from politics by 2010.

Béla Kun: was a Hungarian Communist politician who ruled Hungary as leader of the short-lived Hungarian Soviet Republic in 1919.Kun fought for Austria-Hungary in World War I, and was captured and made a prisoner of war in 1916 by the Russians. He was sent to a POW camp in the Urals, where he became a Communist. In 1917, Kun was caught up in what he regarded as the romance of the Russian Revolution, the idea of which fulfilled for him certain spiritual needs previously unsatisfied. Paradoxically, he held Russians to a certain degree in contempt, feeling that Communism was much better suited to "civilized" nations such as Hungary rather than "barbaric" Russia. During his time in Russia, Kun became fluent in Russian (he was also fluent in German, and competent at English).

Béla Bácskai: was a Hungarian field hockey player who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics.In 1936 he was a member of the Hungarian team which was eliminated in the group stage of the Olympic tournament. He played one match as back.
