Ram Gopal Varma: an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer. Varma has directed, written and produced films across multiple genres—psychological thrillers, underworld gang warfare, politician-criminal nexus, and musicals—and in multiple languages—Telugu and Hindi.Shiva (1989) was his first film as director and Phoonk (2008) is his most recent one. He gained recognition in Hindi cinema, also known as "Bollywood", with Rangeela (1995). The next film he directed was Satya (1998), which won six Filmfare Awards, including the Critics Award for Best Film. Satya, together with his 2002 film Company (which he directed and which won seven Filmfare Awards) and 2005 film D (which he produced), form an "Indian Gangster Trilogy", comparable to the Godfather Trilogy or Infernal Affairs trilogy.[1] Other successful films Varma directed include Kshana Kshanam (1991), Kaun (1999), Jungle (2000), Bhoot (2003), Sarkar (2005) and Sarkar Raj (2008).[2]

Mavelikkara Prabhakara Varma: was an Indian carnatic musician[1] and teacher who descended from the royal family of Mavelikkara, Kerala.He was born in 1928 as the second son of chandraprabha thamburatty(daughter of the great scholar A. R. Raja Raja Varma) and Rama Varma of Kilimanoor Palace. While in his mother's womb, Varma was affected by polio[2] and thus was born with disorder in his right leg, which he had to carry till his death. After his initial studies, he joined the Swathi Thirunal Music Academy in Thiruvananthapuram and after the couse, joined the acadeny as an Assistant Professor in 1957. He retired as the principal of RLV College of Music and Fine Arts, Tripunithura.

Between 1982 and 1994 she was member of the Amsterdam municipal council for the CPN, between 1986 and 1990 for the Left Accord, a common list of the Pacifist Socialist Party and the Political Party of Radicals, and between 1990 and 1994 for GreenLeft, which was formed by a merger of CPN, PSP, PPR, and the small Evangelical People's Party. After the 1994 election, Singh Varma became member of the House of Representatives. She succeeded Ina Brouwer, who had stepped down after the poor election results.
